Candidates elected to the Boston School Committee: Kevin McCluskey, Jean McGuire, Jean Sullivan McKeigue, John O’Bryant, Rita Walsh-Tomasini. Walsh-Tomasini is the top vote getter with 43,863. McGuire is the first African-American woman elected to the committee. Incumbent Elvira “Pixie” Palladino fails in her bid for reelection.
